Golden Civic Organizations

As an ongoing project, the Golden Lions Club loans equipment to Golden Civic Organizations as a way of serving the Golden Community. We have 350 chairs, 38-8' tables, 8-10'x10' tents and 150-8' barricades for use by local civic organizations. The borrowing organization must provide the vehicles for transporting the equipment to their event. Our storage facility is located at 1501 8th St., Golden, CO. We may be contacted by emailing us at Golden Lions Club Loan Program.

Other Organizations Holding Golden Events

As an ongoing fundraiser, we will also rent the equipment, for a nominal fee, to commercial or non-Golden organizations that are holding events in Golden. The rental fee allows us to replace damaged and worn out equipment over time.

Used Eyeglasses Dropoff Locations

The Golden Lions Club participates in the Lions International "Recycle For Sight" program by collecting used eyeglasses. Once used glasses have been collected, they are sent to the Sterling Prison, scanned to determine the optics of each pair, cleaned and sorted by perscription. They are then distributed to various organizations who distribute them in the U.S. and around the world to people that do not have access to glasses. Used hearing aids may also be dropped off in the eyeglass collection box.

Collection locations picked up by Colorado Lions Statewide are shown on the map below. View the MAP in full screen.
