Engage Lions and Anthem associates in service events focusing on health and wellness
Increase the impact and visibility of community service nationwide
Give back to our local communities
This is the second year the Golden Lions Club participated with Anthem on a project for the Family Tree Organization. This years' project was to cleanup an overgrown area in the backyard area at the Karlis Center. Bushes were trimmed or removed, ground cover and crushed granite laid down.
As part of the partnership, Anthem Foundation donated US$250,000 to the Lions Clubs International Foundation. The funds will be used to support Lions-Anthem service projects and the Volunteer Days event, and for "Lions-Anthem Foundation Healthy Heroes Grants" to support Lions' health and wellness programs.
The Golden Lions Club is proud to be a part of the growing corporate social responsibility movement by partnering with Anthem Foundation, Anthem Inc. and its national network of dedicated associates. View more pictures of the project here.
